Dr. Jeff Raines
Jeff Raines came to First Baptist Church, Shreveport, in March, 2012. He is married to Darcie, and they have two boys: Mark and Bereket. Jeff grew up in Arlington, Texas. He holds a Business Administration degree from Baylor University, a Master of Divinity degree from George W. Truett Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Princeton Theological Seminary. Jeff has served in churches in Waco, Texas, and Amarillo, Texas, before coming to Shreveport. Jeff has been on the board of directors of Wayland Baptist University, chaired the board of the Worldconnex Mission Network, and served on the advisory board at Truett Seminary. In denominational life, he has been elected as Second Vice President of the Baptist General Convention of Texas.
Jeff has a passion for missions and has participated in mission work in the U.S., Mexico, Brazil, Ethiopia, Uganda, Zambia, Kenya, and China. Jeff enjoys running, biking, basketball, photography, reading, and the outdoors.
Ronney Joe Webb
MINISTER OF FAMILY LIFE AND MISSIONS
ABOUT RONNEY JOE
Ronney Joe Webb was born in Laurel, Mississippi, where he grew up and thrived as a young man. He has had a variety of job experiences along with his calling to ministry at age 16. He has skills in carpentry, electrical, restoration of log homes, farming chores, horses, police work, business ownership and much, much more. Each of these experiences has been God-ordained and has helped him in ministry.
Ronney Joe graduated from Campbellsville College with a Bachelor of Science in Church Recreation, Drama Minor in 1985 and from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Master of Science in Recreation Administration in 1998. He has served as adjunct professor of recreation at the University of Southern Mississippi.
Ronney Joe launched FBC Shreveport's Family Life Ministry in May 2004 and became the church's first Minister of Family Life. Because of his passion for missions and people, Ronney Joe was also named Missions Pastor in 2005. He moved to Shreveport after serving over seventeen years as Associate Pastor and Minister of Activities at First Baptist Laurel, MS. He has also served churches in Kentucky as Minister of Music, Youth and Children.
Ronney Joe and his wife, Maria, have three daughters: Mary Katherine, Rachel and Sarah. Ronney Joe's favorite hobbies are indoor and outdoor sports, woodworking and crafts, and NASCAR.
His calling is to serve God and the local Church in whatever capacity God places him. Ronney Joe will attempt anything for Christ.
DR. GLEN ADKINS
MINISTER OF MUSIC
Glen Adkins began his ministry at First Baptist Church, Shreveport in August of 2013. Glen is married to Clista Whitehurst Adkins, and they have two grown daughters and one son-in-law. Glen earned the Bachelor's degree in Church Music from Furman University, and the Masters of Church Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Glen previously served as minister of music at the First Baptist Church of Augusta, Georgia; the First Baptist Church of Greenville, South Carolina; and Emerywood Baptist Church in High Point, North Carolina. For three years, from 2007 to 2010, Glen and Clista served as full-time missionaries to the Roma (Gypsies) in central Europe, and during this time lived in Pecs, Hungary. As missionaries, they were sponsored by the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (CBF).
Glen and Clista were married at First Baptist Shreveport in 1978, and Clista was ordained to the ministry by First Baptist in 1994. They both consider it a blessing to now be a part of the FBC family. Glen enjoys biking (as in road bike), hunting, and of course, anything to do with music.
MINISTER TO CHILDREN
Meredith Hanna came to First Baptist Church, Shreveport, in June, 2014. She has an undeniable love for children and families. Meredith grew up in Richardson, Texas. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Christian Studies: Church Education and a Master of Arts in Christian Education: Childhood Ministries, both from Dallas Baptist University. Go DBU Patriots!
Prior to joining the First Baptist Shreveport family, Meredith served at ParkwayHills Baptist Church in Plano, Texas on the Children's Ministry team. Meredith is an active member with both the Louisiana Baptists and the Texas Baptists.
Meredith is grateful for First Baptist Church School of FBC Shreveport, LA. She believes in the mission and vision of First Baptist Church School and is fully invested in ministering to the faculty, staff, and families of the FBCS Patriot Family. Go FBCS Patriots!
Meredith enjoys partnering with parents, volunteering in the community, playing and coaching soccer, biking, hiking, traveling, cheering on First Baptist Kids at their many local events, eating lunch with FBC Kids at their schools, and spending time with her rescue dog, Kiptyn.
Military and First Responder families have a special place in Meredith’s heart. She is currently a volunteer Chaplain with the Shreveport Fire Department.

Minister of Youth and Discipleship
Ryan McCoy came to First Baptist Church, Shreveport in August, 2018. He is married to Lauren, and their first child is on the way! Ryan grew up in Amarillo, Texas. He holds a B.A. in English Literature from Texas A&M University. Gig’em! He also holds a Master of Divinity from George W. Truett Theological Seminary and a M.S. in Education, Curriculum & Instruction from Baylor University.
Before coming to Shreveport, Ryan served in youth ministries in Robinson, College Station, and Amarillo, Texas. Ryan has a passion for education and loves teaching the Bible. In addition to serving in churches, he has written curriculum and Bible studies for a number of youth ministries and publishing companies.
Outside of ministry, Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife and their dogs, watching football, woodworking, video games, and reading.
CHINESE MISSION PASTOR
Andy and his wife Lucy are from Wuhan, China. After earning a degree in Computer Science from Beijing Science and Technology University, Andy felt a call toward ministry. Andy led a House Church in China for seven years before pursuing a Master degree in Global Leadership (concentration is churching planting) at Dallas Baptist University. Andy comes to First Baptist Church Chinese Mission highly recommended from his professors there. Andy felt a strong sense of calling to win the entire city of Shreveport and make disciples for planting new churches. Andy and Lucy have an 8-year-old son, Jack. Andy enjoys fishing, badminton, tennis, reading, and the outdoors.
